MAJORCA GOLF BREAKS
Majorca, the largest of the Balearic Islands, has since the 1960's been one of Europe's most popular destinations for the British holiday maker, however it is only in recent years that golf holidays have captured the imagination of the British golfer.
This is somewhat surprising since the quality of the older courses is very high indeed; the Poniente course is a real gem. However, new and exciting courses such as Son Muntaner and Golf Park have all raised the profile of this picturesque island. The south west of the island has the greatest concentration of courses with ten to choose from. Just west of Palma lies the impressive Marriott Son Antem resort, complete with 5 star hotel and two excellent American style courses.
To the northwest three lovely courses, Canyamel, Pula and Capdepera, provide for a great day out.
As for where to stay on your golf holidays to Majorca, well the more energetic should consider the lively resorts of Palma Nova / Magaluf with their wall-to-wall bars, restaurants and nightclubs. Those looking for something slightly more genteel should consider the excellent Punta Negra hotel, close to Porta Pals or the Marriott Son Antem Resort just 20 minutes from the capital. Palma is a delightful city to visit. The imposing Cathedral dominates the skyline, the chic marina is abounding with millionaire's yachts, and as a place to visit a truly cosmopolitan ambiance prevails in the restaurants and tapas bars.
We highly recommend our Majorca golf holidays. However, 3D Golf also offers golf breaks in all of the other popular golfing regions including the Costa del Sol, Costa Blanca, Costa Brava and the Costa de la Luz. For a wide selection of great value golf holidays in Majorca and the rest of Spain look no further than 3D Golf.
