The region of Brabant Wallon, is just south of Brussels and is widely known as the 'Garden of Belgium' - the rich playground of the Belgian people.
It is a region with a heavy forest belt, beautiful contrasting and undulating scenery and a plethora of 14 great golf courses all within the same 15 mile radius.
You can access Brabant Wallon by plane, train or automobile and the Ryanair Prestwick to Charleroi route is just 30 minutes south of Waterloo, this makes for possible short breaks to Belgium.
Our selected venues are only 30 minutes from the featured airports (Charleroi being the most convenient) and about 2.5 hours drive from Calais and 90 minutes from Zeebrugge port. Alternatively, you can travel from London to Waterloo on the renowned Eurostar service and pick up a Hertz Rent - a - Car to drive to your resorts. Eurotunnel remains the firm favourite for choice of travel. The golf courses have great strength in depth, from Royal Waterloo and Bercuit (both previous venues of the Belgian Open) and great contrast in styles of courses - parkland, stadium and heathland. You will not find 2 courses alike which is great. Our most popular golf venues are Chateau de la Tournette and Chateau Sept Fontaines which are both 36 hole venues. Hulencourt is the pick of the bunch and welcomes visitors the most of all - there is a great ambience in the club, whose captain is a Welshman.
Brabant Wallon gives you far more options than Le Touquet, because there are so many courses and the region is only 30 minutes south of Brussels, allowing the option to stay in the city at the new Martin's Hotel opening in April 2007, as you are driving against the traffic it is relatively easy. The re-opened Royal Waterloo is magnificent now after 2 years of upgrading.
The new Dolce at La Hulpe is a superb new addition to hotels in the region and the new upgrading of the rooms at the Grand Hotel Waterloo and the Chateau du Lac, makes for an interesting choice of hotels.
